Michael Owen gives condition for Mohammed Salah to win Ballon d’Or next year
Liverpool and Manchester United legend has given the conditions for Egyptian striker, Mohammed Salah to win the prestigious award, Ballon d’Or.
Golden Goal NG understands that the free scoring striker finished 8th for last year while PSG midfielder, Lionel Messi picked the highly coveted award.
Owen was asked on Wednesday about Salah Ballon d’Or snub and he said that for last year he did not do enough to win the award. Individually, the Liverpool forward is perfect but he did not win anything with his team.
Golden Goal NG also followed the conversation about the just concluded awards and discovered that the some people cited foul play especially for the best goalkeeper award which Donnarumma won ahead of Chelsea number one shot stopper, Edouard Mendy. Golden Goal NG however believes that the Ballon d’Or organisers are fair and sticker to their criteria.
Owen added and give conditions for Salah to win the Ballon d’Or awards next year and he said, he must continue to play well for both club and country. According to him, if Liverpool should win the English Premier League and Champions League he could be considered. And also said that Egypt with No Salah should win the AFCON and Salah will stand a strong point to win his first Ballon d’Or.
So far so good, Salah has led Liverpool to emerge the highest scorer among top five European clubs.
