Massive blow to Chelsea as their star player rules out for the rest of the season

Chelsea are currently experiencing shortage of first squad players, some of them contracted COVID-19 while others are out injured. This have resulted to the blues thinking of recalling players on loan.

Both the German forwards Kai Havertz and Timo Werner trained with the team today and are expected to make a comeback in tomorrow’s Brighton game at Stamford Bridge.According to Sports journalist Nizaar Kinsella, the English left back Ben Chilwell is set for Anterior Cruciate ligament surgery (ACL) which he sustained during the champions league game against Juventus.

The player will miss the rest of the season as he was in rehabilitation for the recovery but the surgery will keep him out for more than six months.The London based club is now looking for possible ways of finding his replacement, thus Ian Maatsen and Emerson Palmieri might be recalled from loan. They are also targeting French man Lucas Digne from Everton.
