Chelsea agree deal to sign Ben Chilwell’s replacement
West London giants, Chelsea have been linked with several players to replace Ben Chilwell on the left back or left wing back region. The former Leicester player was injured while playing for Chelsea last month, when the blues defeated Italian side 4-0 in the UEFA champions league.The English man had been instrumental for Chelsea before his injury. However, according to top Chelsea journalist, Nizaar Kinsaala, Ben Chilwell is set to have a surgery on his anterior ligament. And this surgery will keep him out till next season.
However, Chelsea have tried tried using Marcos Alonso in that region. But the Spaniard has failed to impress. This is why the blues are prepared to splash their cash for Everton left back, Lucas Digne.The former Barcelona player, Lucas Digne is a decent player and Chelsea are ready to splash the cash once again.
However, it is not yet known how much Chelsea will splash on him. But it is likely that the club wants him on a loan deal and with an option to buy, should he impress them.
