Chelsea close to announce first January signing after player agrees terms with the club
Chelsea have been trying to cope across all competitions despite the fact that injuries affected their squad and are now ready to use the January transfer window to boost Thomas Tuchel’s squad.
The most stable team in the English soil is Chelsea in terms of finance, after sales of some academy players and loan fees generated from youth stars. They have been performing quite poorly recently due to injuries and COVID-19.
After the opening of the January transfer window, the blues are in the market looking for the replacement of both Ben Chilwell and Reece James who will be out for a very long duration. James is expected to be out for six weeks while Chilwel will miss the rest of the season.According to the Italian transfer guru Fabrizio Romano on Twitch, Everton and Chelsea are planning for more talks this week for Lucas Digne. The French man told Everton his wish to move to London and has now agreed personal terms with the blues.
Chelsea’s priority was to recall Emerson Palmieri and are still trying to understand if they are able to do with Lyon. It’s possible Digne will now leave the club, after Everton signed the defender Nathan Paterson from Rangers.
