£68m rated goal machine set for medicals ahead move to Chelsea
Chelsea manager Thomas Tuchel is reportedly interested in improving his team ahead of the start of the January transfer window, and has identified numerous targets in both the defensive and offensive areas.
The Blues are reportedly preparing for Romelu Lukaku’s departure following an explosive interview in which he stated that he was dissatisfied with the London-based powerhouse and that a return to Italy may be on the cards.
Following reports that they are interested in Napoli striker Victor Osimhen, with the Italian club requesting a £68 million bid for the Nigerian-born forward, it is possible that the UEFA champions league winners are ready to find a replacement for the departed coach.
Before suffering a face injury, Osimhen had scored zero goals in 14 appearances for Napoli, and as a result, he is considered to be the best candidate to take over for the struggling Lukaku.
Meanwhile, the Blues are keeping an eye on Barcelona’s defender Sergino Dest in case he makes an effort to bolister their wingback following the injury suffered by Reece James earlier this season.
