Tuchel could welcome double signings as Chelsea race to beat deadline

The winter transfer window is still open, and several European teams are wrapping up their deals ahead of the deadline day, which is on Monday, the last day of January. Many clubs enjoyed a successful and fruitful winter transfer having completed their dream signings.

Newcastle United and Aston Villa are the two teams in England that completed the most number of signings this winter transfer window. Coutinho and Digne are among the players Aston Villa lured to the Villa Park, while Newcastle are liked with several players excluding the ones they have signed.

Chelsea on the other hand is yet to make any official first-team signing this window, but here are two deals they may complete before the deadline.

Ousmane Dembele.The Frenchman has long made it known to Barcelona that he wants to leave the club this winter. His availability has attracted many clubs for his signature, including Manchester United, but Chelsea’s persistence could trigger the deal before the deadline.

Sergino DestThe left-back who can also play as a right-back is keen on leaving Barcelona after the arrival of Dani Alves. The fullback has seen himself drop down the pecking order. Chelsea is keen on bringing in a cover for Alonso who has been poor since Chilwell’s injury. A deadline day move could happen.
