Conte tells Chelsea how to best Man City after 3-2 win
Tottenham Hotspur manager, Antonio Conte has already told Chelsea and others on how to beat Pep Guardiola’s Manchester City.
The former Chelsea manager evealed the tactics he deployed yesterday which saw them beat Manchester City 3-2 in the Premier League.The visitors took the lead through Kulusevski in the fourth minute of the game. Pep’s men levelled before the break as captain Ilkay Gundogan stabbed home from close range.
Kane finished off a Heung-Min Son pass as Antonio Conte’s men retook the lead, but Riyad Mahrez fired home a stoppage-time penalty. However, Harry Kane ensured they went home with all 3 points as he gave his team a late goal to make it 2-3 in their favour.
Antonio Conte after the game said it was an emotional game for him, adding that he was excited how the game ended because they had three losses before coming to the Etihad Stadium.
According to Antonio Conte on his tactics: “We played a good game. We followed a plan. Manchester City would keep possession for 65 to 70 minutes for the game so we needed to be good tactically. But even when defending our first thought should be to attack. The tactics was to desire every moment.
“We created chances and scored good goals against a fantastic team. This win will give us more confidence. It wasn’t simple to play Manchester City after three losses in a row”.
