Chelsea suffer double blows after beating Lille 2-0

CHELSEA outsmart their opponets, Lille from France in the first leg of the UEFA Champions League rounds of 16 but the Blues suffer double blows in the process.

Thomas Tuchel tutored side have been hit with a double injury blow ahead of their League Cup final against Liverpool.

Midfielder Mateo Kovacic hobbled off after 50 minutes of the Blues Champions League first-leg tie against Lille.

Ruben Loftus-Cheek replaced the Croatian, with Chelsea leading through Kai Havertz’s first-half opener.

Only ten minutes later, in-form winger Hakim Ziyech was then forced off after going down off the ball. The Moroccan International was seen holding his knees as he was forced out of the game.

The extent of their injuries have not be ascertained as at  the time of this Reports.

The Blues will play Liverpool in the Carabao Cup final at the weekend.

Kai Harvetz and Christian Pulisic were the scorer of Chelsea’s goals.
