OFFICIAL: Chelsea’s star boy wins man of the match ahead Harvetz despite scoring twice against Burnley

Back to emphatic winning ways as Chelsea comfortably defeated Burnley at Turf Moor thanks to a brace from Kai Havertz.

The Blues had won four consecutive games at home against the Clarets, but they were pushed back for most of the first half and should have been behind when Dwight McNeil blasted over the bar after Edouard Mendy’s muffed punch fell to him eight yards away.Within minutes of the restart, Reece James turned McNeil inside and out before firing in from a tight angle. Soon after, Christian Pulisic flicked a ball to the back post, which Havertz intercepted and headed in behind the centre backs.

With James placing the ball on a platter for Havertz to nudge home from close range only ten minutes into the second half, the lead was three. James Tarkowski’s blunder gifted the Blues their fourth goal, as his attempted clearance dropped straight into the path of Pulisic, who stroked home from six yards out.

One man was outstanding in today’s win for the London based outfit.England & Chelsea defender, Reece James was voted the man of the match after his fantastic performance against Relegation-threatened, Burnley in today’s match.
