Ligue 1 star on his way to Chelsea as Tuchel eyes Rudiger’s replacement
Chelsea is reportedly considering making a move to secure the services of a 23-year-old highly-rated Paris Saint-Germain defender this summer, according to reports.
The 23-year-old defender has been in stunning form for Paris Saint-Germain since he joined them from Inter Milan the last summer and has been able to enjoy a regular first-team start.
Chelsea was among the group of teams that were interested in signing the Moroccan defender the last summer, but a deal to bring him to the Stamford Bridge failed to materialize and in the process lost him to Paris Saint-Germain.
According to Caughtoffside, Chelsea has been reported to be keeping tabs on the Paris Saint-Germain right-back Achraf Hakimi and could sign him from PSG this summer.
Rudiger, Christensens, Azplicueta, and Alonso have been linked with a possible exit in the summer and this signal the need for defense reinforcement by Chelsea, if they want to be a good contender for the Premier League title next season.
Hakimi has made 41 appearances this season for Paris Saint-Germain, finding the back of the net 4 times and providing 6 assists.
